On February 8, 2014 at 7:44 PM, the planet sighed, as it lost a World Class Healer and Teacher, Acupuncturist, unsurpassed Master Yogi, Essene Archbishop, University Professor, Prolific Author, Public Speaker and unceasing advocate for World Peace and Unconditional Love.

Although elfin in stature his positive outlook, engaging and witty personality, radiant smile and keen sense of humor towered like benevolent giants over his every endeavor and achievement.

He wrote over 12 books, among them were “You’re Never Too Old to Become Young”; “The Essene Master” and his first book, a true classic in yoga literature written in 1968 was “Vitality, Health and Relaxation through Yoga”.

Dr. David John Carmos began studying yoga in 1952 at the age of 11 and Nutrition in 1955. From 1966 to 1970 he was the first person to teach yoga for credit at a major university. He taught at Boston University, Sargent College, in the school of Allied Health Sciences, and designed corrective physical education using the therapeutic aspects of yoga as the modality.

His yoga repertoire was over 600 variations of Asanas and Karana Kriya (isotonic yoga) He taught the ‘The Master Moves’ in yoga and with these one can accomplish anything with the human body. He was one of the founders of the Yoga Teachers of America.

He was Director of an historical Museum on Cape Cod. He held a Doctorate in Allied Health Sciences and was a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, the nations oldest accredited acupuncture college.

He researched, wrote and taught internationally on multiple subjects including: Ancient Healing Systems, Nutrition, the Healing Secrets of the Essenes, Body Mind Medicine, Reversing the Aging Process, Yoga The Master Moves ™, Touch Therapies, Mythology, Metaphysics, and The Secret to the Mysteries of the YOUniverse! He was consecrated archbishop of the Essene Order in April 2007.
